Older Adults

Acacia Network and our affiliates serve thousands of older adults ages 60 and older through Older Adults Centers in the Bronx, Queens, and Manhattan, as well as Upstate New York. Participants enrolled in our Older Adults Centers benefit from a variety of services and resources –including wellness checks, daily meals, and recreational activities– and they gain valuable knowledge and skills through workshops and classes on a variety of topics.

We value the long-standing contributions of mature adults, celebrating their role in our families and communities. Our programs offer bilingual, culturally responsive social services, advocacy, information, and counseling in a welcoming and friendly environment. Staff is highly skilled to advise, encourage, and support older adults and their families, ensuring services and benefits. Individual interviews are conducted in a private setting and confidentiality is guaranteed to all program participants and their families.

Our programs for older adults in New York City are supported by the NYC Department for the Aging (DFTA), and our programs in Buffalo are supported by the Erie County Department of Social Services.
