Acacia Network’s Childcare, Education & Youth Development initiatives –in partnership with our affiliates, the Community Association of Progressive Dominicans (ACDP), United Bronx Parents (UBP), and Promesa Inc.– aim to provide high-quality educational and recreational programming for children and youth of all ages to ensure positive outcomes inside and outside of school.

Our model integrates a holistic approach that seeks to engage the entire family through wrap-around services, such as extended academic enhancement for students, parent workshops, education & workforce development resources, primary & mental care, food distribution, among other services.

Early Childhood Education / Day Care

We help families build a strong foundation for education and learning. Children between the ages of 2 through 5 get to learn, laugh, and grow together in our Early Childhood Education Program, licensed by the NYC Department of Education (DOE) and the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS).

Teachers and staff, in partnership with parents, grandparents, caregivers, and key partners, focus on “whole child” education. Reading, writing, math, and science are balanced with social and emotional development. The children’s diverse cultural backgrounds are celebrated in the classroom and recreational activities. The program provides services for children with special needs, and facilitates an active Parent’s Advisory Committee.
